It has been a long journey.  A journey full of many lessons and a lot of grace.  I am finally home!

I am so thankful for my time in Iowa.  I was really broken when I first came to Iowa 15 years ago.  I had two young girls and I was afraid of making the wrong choices.  I knew everything I did and said would affect their lives.

I was able to heal from my past in Iowa.

I learned how precious I was in Christ.  I gained confidence and value. Iowa’s soil may be rich in minerals, but more importantly, Iowa has some of the kindest, wholehearted, people you will ever meet.  My time in Iowa has made me a better person with the desire to help others.

It was bittersweet leaving

I had grown very close to some special people in a simple, small town in the upper corner of Iowa. They had become my family.  I am so very thankful for the kind, loving friends who came into my life at just the right time when I needed them the most.  God is so good!

I have had a dream tugging at my heart for many years now.

My dream was to go home to a small town in Utah.  My hope is to help restore my families ranch.  I would like to use the buildings and resources to create activities and events, to be a blessing to others.

About 3 years ago I was reading a bible study. When I read Isaiah 61 my heart jumped and I began to get goose bumps. It felt like each verse was talking to me and my dreams for the ranch. I hold Isaiah 61 close to my heart.  My goal and desires are to share what I have learned with others who feel brokenhearted and rejected.  It is like having a special recipe that you just want to share. You know that special ingredient could help them see life in a whole new way!

My Journey home!

My journey home has been very emotional and physically wearing!  It is hard moving; you do not realize how much stuff you have until you have to pack it all up.  Coming home has stirred up some lost memories and there will be challenges I have to face, but I am equipped with some pretty strong armor and I believe in the power of prayer.  God will always provide, and His love will endure through every challenge.

Come and visit!

I encourage you to visit Southern Utah, God has hidden such beautiful artwork in the mountains, valleys and lakes.  You will be amazed!

Isaiah 61 (NIV)
The Year of the Lord’s Favor
61 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
    because the Lord has anointed me
    to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
    to proclaim freedom for the captives
    and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
    and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
    and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
    instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
    instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
    instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
    a planting of the Lord
    for the display of his splendor.
They will rebuild the ancient ruins
    and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
    that have been devastated for generations.
Strangers will shepherd your flocks;
    foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
And you will be called priests of the Lord,
    you will be named ministers of our God.
You will feed on the wealth of nations,
    and in their riches you will boast.
Instead of your shame
    you will receive a double portion,
and instead of disgrace
    you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit a double portion in your land,
    and everlasting joy will be yours.
“For I, the Lord, love justice;
    I hate robbery and wrongdoing.
In my faithfulness I will reward my people
    and make an everlasting covenant with them.
Their descendants will be known among the nations
    and their offspring among the peoples.
All who see them will acknowledge
    that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”
10 I delight greatly in the Lord;
    my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
    and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
    and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up
    and a garden causes seeds to grow,
so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness
    and praise spring up before all nations.
